So I made it into Vancouver by around 9 p.m., their time, so around ten Edmonton time. It takes longer to drive on a motorcycle because you have to stop every two hours to fill up with gas. And this weekend, that meant forking out eighteen bucks to fill a freakin' motorcycle! What gives with these prices? Sunday morning, 7 a.m., headed over to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry heading to Nanaimo, destination was Courtenay by noon, which I accomplished by driving up the very slow Hwy 19A highway (the old highway) Vancouver Island also has a nice new inland highway that is wonderful. And you get to go at 110 km/hr there, go figure. Best thing though - no tar strips or road heaves! Horseshoe Bay Ferry sights
Pulling in to Nanaimo
Yeah, this is what I need, a new hairdo like his!
Hwy 19a north of Nanaimo, still looks the same
Nice mossy roof!
A small harbour along the way
And a picture of me at that harbour
Log boom, I forgot about these
