So, on a whim, I decided to go on a road trip. I have acquired a 2003 Volusia that was just screaming to be driven down the road. A lot of road. And Vancouver Island was what I figured I could do in a long weekend (4 day) trip. So, on Thursday I got the idea, Friday I confirmed it, Saturday at 6:30 a.m. I started it. Destination - Puntledge Park in Courtenay, B.C. As a kid, I always liked that park. Headed off down the road and met up with a variety of other bikers along the way. It was very nice to meet all these people. Amazingly enough, I met up with Edmonton-based people at Edson, in Blue River, on the ferry back from Nanaimo, everywhere. On the ferry I met up with a guy that had done work with my cousin Kevin, and knew his wife, Debbie. It's a smaller world than you think some times.
