At the lookout point in Kolob
Interesting story from Dandee, who grew up across from this valley (gotta feel sorry for the poor bugger!) was that one day he watched as a huge section of the cliff marked with the X calved and rolled off. His uncle was visiting, and being with the US Geological Survey, they went and took a look. He made an impression on him as a little boy. And an interesting tale for me.
Ah, yes, the kidnapping. We were taking the compulsory group pictdures when it suddenly dawned on us that there were a couple of bystanders not involved in the whole silly process. So we asked the lady from Maryland, and her husband, to join us. She would sit, he would work. It was a good deal. And this is what we got!
