So I make it in to Salt Lake City by about 8:20 and end up meeting with Polovision and Ronnie. Polo is from Sacramento, Ronnie from west Nevada. These guys have travelled a fair amount together and have allowed me to join them, it works out well.

Somewhere around midnight I got this idea that it would be good to see the temple in Salt Lake, so we got on our motorcycles and headed on down there. It was actually kind of pretty at night. Apparently us non-Mormans are not allowed in there, or so I was told. Ronnie's grandfather, I believe, was the person that gilded the statue at the top of the temple. Ronnie said that his grandfather was blindfolded and led to the top of the scaffolding outside the top of the temple roof before he had the blindfold taken off of him. And then he had to get to work for the day.
