San Francisco '07 - Day 1

All chrome bike

So, my goal in being here was not just to see the bikes, although the bikes were pretty cool. It was actually to meet up with Ken Salas, aka Bikerboy. Now here is a very cool dude. Three year old boy, wife that lets him buy motorcycles and encourages him to ride, still in the reserves, did a rotation out to Kuwait, very entertaining stories. Ask him about the Humvee they confiscated in Kuwait.
Anyway, Ken was gracious enough to not only pay for my lunch (it was my birthday after all), but also to drive with me all the way to Sonora where I was staying Friday night. He knows the area so he also knows the better roads.
Oh, I have to mention, we started driving and in the first 3 minutes I had to swerve around a rattlesnake sitting in the middle of the road. Oh yeah, I love California!
