So this was our big expedition, up to Monument Mountain. A 3,000 foot climb for us, to 7,500 feet. We headed out across a small draw and then eventually turned west towards the summit. Here we started on our ascent. What is amazing from the horse perspective is that we were able to do the ascent in about an hour and a half. Think about the power required for that, it is phenomenal.
