de Havilland Mosquito B35

The most effective and fastest bomber of WWII
1941 - 1953
Designed as a bomber that relied on speed for its defence. With no defensive armament and a light wooden airframe, its two Merlin engines gave it great manoeuvrability and a top speed of over 400 mph, until 1944 the world's fastest combat aircraft. Take that all you fighters!
Fitted with the new radar device 'OBOE', it made a vital contribution to the RAFs night bombing offensive against Germany.
Nearly 8000 Mosquitoes were built.

Ah, the Concorde!
