So, on Saturday I was by my lonesome. Jan had had a little too much sun for his liking and had taken ill from heat exhaustion. Poor guy. Doesn't have that cowboy stamina. Yeah, that's what it is. I have such a nasty case of windburn and sunburn in my hair it is isn't even funny. Whew! And of course this was also the day that the temperature was 42 degrees and I was no where near any shade for a good chunk of the day (motorcycling has its costs) So I went up to the Norht area to see what was there. I had heard of a waterfall, which I found, and that was about it. There actually is not a lot to do on Langkawi. There was island hopping, but I was looking for caves and waterfalls and most of the operators I met wanted to take you to two islands and then stay at the one with a good beach. Heck, I can do that out my front porch here at my 1-star hotel!
