Map from Dresden to Leipzig, today's journey!
So last weekend I had the Opel minivan. 3L engine, gas, moved well. I decided this time, since no one was fighting me for it, to take the Mercedes. Sounds better to say that you were driving down the Autobahn in your Mercedes at 180+ km/hr, right? RIGHT! This was the company Mercedes I drove. No No NO! The little POS in back!
Entrance to the autobahn
Me doing 180 on the autobahn
I have to relate this story to you, the little canuck on the german autobahn. There I was, sailing down the autobahn at 180 km/hr because the stupid Mercedes couldn't go any faster than that. Should have had the Opel, it could clear 200, but I didn't have my camera out at the time. Anyway, I am sailing down the autobahn, I pass this police car like he is standing still - very cool! He doesn't care because it is allowed here, I am thrilled because at home that would have netted me a $500+ fine, I am sure! I see a Mercedes come up fast from behind, so as a good autobahn user I pull over in to the right lane. It's this little old lady whose head doesn't even make it up past the head rest and she leaves me like I am standing still. You know what it is like when you are walking down the street in town and car passes you at 50 km/hr. she was doing at least that! So to my 180 you can add another 50, so conservatively, 230 km/hr. Whew! A village on the way, Liebertwolkwitz, and its water tower
Just a cute lane in that village
On my way I found some snow that had fallen
