So now I am off to Schloß Moritzburg, which means Castle Moritzburg This turned out to be a rather large rip off in terms of money. Most castles seem to charge €5 - €10 for entrance to the premises. This place charged €12.50 and it wasn't that great. Interesting, but not worth two to three times the price. I suspect a certain amount of this might be due to the fact that they are seriously engaged in some reconstruction work. No pictures allowed within the castle, which was a further annoyance. So I spit on something in every room to get even. (Just kidding! Puh-lease, give me some credit!) By the castle, catch the royal horse droppings on the road. Next to where I parked is where the horses for the tour rides are kept. You must remember that Germany is the home of the Hanoverians!
Ceramic items for sale. Meißen was a huge center for porcelin production back in ye old times, so porcelin is a major show attraction at each of these castles
First glimpse of the place. It is an excellent looking place
The front door. Pretty impressive, no?
Go figure, you enter the place and the first thing you see, this goofy old tractor. I have no idea why
