Last stop of the day was Meißen. This is one very old community. In Germany you prove how something is by the first time it appears in any documentation. So the place might be 2000 years old, but if the first document that it appears in was dated 500 years ago, it is only accepted as being certifiably 500 years old. So Meißen was founded in 929. Which just beats out the Ukraine which was founded in 992. Meißen is located on the Elbe River which also flows through Dresden. It is a very qauaint crowded city.
