One of the buildings that we looked at was the Frauenkirche (Women's Church) which was basically destroyed in the February 13-15, 1945 firebombing conducted by the RAF and USAF military forces as part of their demoralizing bombing campaign. As many people died here as were killed in Hiroshima, around 120,000 people in this case. The first picture was taken by someone else in 2000, mine is current (2005). Peter and I also stopped on one of the bridges and I took a couple of shots on either side of the bridge. Looking southeast to Kunst Akademie (art school) over the Elbe River
Finance Ministerial building
A statue by an archway. Kind of an ugly Teutonic, don't you think?
