| So the journey for me actually began the night before as I headed on down to Calgary as the first leg of my journey. The plan was to then meet up with Curler and WoodWelder and continue on to Creston. So this is me cruising south to Calgary first off, a nice stretch of road actually. Until I met the cop. I was westbound through the town of Bashaw looking to head south on Hwy21 when lights-camera-action-speeding- ticket-time! I had missed the 50km/hr town sign and was sailing along rather happily at 115 km/hr when he tagged me. So I pulled right over, I was had and I knew it. Strange thing, once he heard that I was going to meet up with Norm from Arizona, he just let me go! Go figure, Hiway Thunder has connections everywhere! So I dodged a bullet on that one, thankfully, and continued on. |
